The Whittier Community Foundation and Whittier Host Lions Club are local 501(c)3 non-profit organizations whose mission is to support activities and programs for the education, enrichment and enjoyment in the Whittier Community. Both organizations raise funds year-round. To date, the Whittier Community Foundation has raised over $850,000, supporting the purchasing of one miniature horse, the Police Memorial, fitness equipment, jumbo movie screen, dinosaur playground equipment at Michigan Park, an emergency operation trailer for the City, three playgrounds, and S.W.A.T. vests for the Whittier PD to mention a few. The Whittier Host Lions Club also raises funds throughout the year for various projects. The proceeds from this year’s event will again benefit “Sight for Kids”, no cost eyes exams and eyeglasses for underprivileged kids in Whittier.

We have created an opportunity for you to not only support our efforts but have also created a marketing opportunity for your business. We hope to make it easy, fun and profitable for you to participate. Attached is our sponsorship packet. Remember your contribution is tax deductible!

Lastly, the Foundations fundraising efforts for this upcoming year will be for the Fire Department (Station 28) Fire Fighter Tribute statue, “Stronger Together”.

We hope you will be able to support this event.
